KUT's commitment to the Austin community and to variety in music set it apart from other radio stations. Its innovative news department takes a fresh look at the community, and its unique music programs stay away from a playlist approach -- as DJs on KUT, music lovers are free to share their passion with listeners.

"The people on the air are not disc jockeys . . . They are musicologists," says Paul Ray, host of KUT's Twine Time.

Programs like Eklektikos, Femme FM, Twine Time, In Black America, and Jazz, Etc., help make KUT a station that represents the radio needs of Austin. View the clip to learn more about the faces behind these programs.
