Pink Muhly Grass (Regal Mist)

Tips of the Week

  • Prune evergreens, roses, trees.
  • Plant evergreens and trees.
  • You may want to wait to cut back tropicals or perennials that are frost-tender (like shrimp plant)
  • Clumping, ornamental grasses: that is a personal choice. Prune now or later.
  • Don't dig up supposedly “dead” plants. It is way too early for many of them to send out new growth.
  • Plant potatoes.
  • Start warm season vegetables indoors. This includes tomatoes, peppers, and eggplant.
  • Apply weed pre-emergents like corn gluten. Do not apply in areas that you plan to seed with flowers or vegetables!
