Tips of the Week

  • Plant pumpkins and winter squash from seed.
  • Dead head flowers.
  • Avoid severe pruning of shrubs and perennials. Tame them a bit, but don't cut back severely.
  • Watch for spider mites on your plants, including those tomatoes. Blast with a hard stream of water (including under the leaves). You may have to do this a couple of times a week.
  • Plant tomatoes.
