Plant of the Week: Kalanchoe (Mother of Thousands)

Kalanchoe (Mother of Thousands)

Tips of the Week

  • Plant fall mums and fertilize the ones already in the garden.
  • Plant vegetables and herbs.
  • Plant perennials, including those for spring flowers, along with yuccas and agaves.
  • If you haven't already done so, lightly clip current perennials to bring on a flush of fall growth and flowers.
  • Plan for spots to include wildflowers and bulbs to plant soon.
  • Look at what suffered too much last winter and this summer and consider more durable alternatives.
