Question of the week

<%=tDate%>

Q. I finally have some time to read. Any ideas?

A. Check out our booklist for a few suggestions. We’d love to hear from you about the books you recommend for gardeners. A fun one to read that’s full of great ideas, too, is Crazy About Gardening—Humorous Reflections on the Sweet Seduction of a Garden by Des Kennedy, Alaska Northwest Books, 1994.

Planting tips of the week
  • Organize seeds and tools.
  • Take plastic pots to nurseries for recycling.
  • Start a garden diary for the New Year. Even jotting a few notes a week is really helpful when trying to remember what you and the garden did.
