• Plant tomato and pepper transplants again. It will be beneficial to give them some shade, from official garden shade products to umbrellas and old window screens.
• Water new trees and shrubs, with a slow drip.
• Avoid pruning, other than cleaning up. Keep some seed heads for the wildlife that rely on them.
• Provide water and food for the wildlife.
• Set out a shallow dish of water for toads and beneficial insects.
