• Watch for spider mites and other heat-loving pests on your vegetables. A strong jet of water, used regularly, is usually enough to keep these pests at bay until you can harvest the last of your summer crop.
• Plant cucumbers.
• Plant tomatoes for another crop this fall. They will benefit from some shading.
