Media Literacy Resources:
A set of lesson plans designed to help teachers and caregivers
discuss media literacy issues with kids.
Challenges kids to question advertising, evaluate media and
become smart consumers. The site helps 9 to 12 year-olds learn
about the modern media marketplace by showing them how to use
the very same advertising tactics used by Madison Avenue.
This Austin group helps adolescent girls develop and maintain
healthy self-esteem and leadership skills by educating them,
their parents and teachers, and others who touch their lives.
The GEN Austin Web site provides resources that empower girls
to be true to themselves and think critically about the media
and girls' roles in society.
Discover how TV, computers, video games, movies and radio can
shape your child's development.
This special Web site was designed for those age 9-12. It
links to a whole world on the Web designed for this age group.
Would you like to see yourself on TV or the Web? Well, here's your chance to send us YOUR video postcard. Go here to view the rules.
Arthur and I want to learn about your world. What's it like to be you? What's the most interesting thing about your life? What's cool about where you live? What do you do for fun? Does your family celebrate any special traditions?
We've already included some of your Postcards from You in new Postcards from Buster shows. Now we're going to include Postcards from You in all-new Arthur shows premiering in late Spring 2007. Deadline for submission is: April 14, 2007.
