KLRU-TV, Austin PBS, presents free kids engineering event

ABOUT THE EVENT:
Middle school students can participate in hands-on activities based on the engineering challenges from the PBS series Design Squad including building a drag racer and kinetic sculpture. Local students will bring robots they have created to encourage other kids to build their own robots at home.
Design Squad, which focuses on inspiring kids to believe that engineering is accessible to them, airs each Friday at 5 p.m. on KLRU. The series is a reality show featuring 9-12 year-olds facing engineering challenges for college scholarships.
