Q Night at the Movies presents an evening of suspense with the 1981 thriller Eyewitness. Before the film, take a look back at the life of Aretha Franklin and then join film and television writers as they unpack the allure of scary, edge-of-your-seat media. Stick around after the film for more thrills with profiles on two masters of the genre: Alfred Hithcock and Edgar Allan Poe. It all starts at 7 p.m. Saturday on KLRU Q.

Aretha! Queen of Soul at 7 p.m. Honoring Aretha Franklin through archival footage from her storied career and interviews that evoke her memory.

On Story Psychological Thrillers at 7:30 p.m. Writers discuss elements of psychological thrillers such as Red Eye, The X-Files, Disturbia and Shut In that keep viewers interested.

Feature Film Eyewitness at 8 p.m. New York City custodian Daryll Deever (William Hurt) is a big fan of local news reporter Tony Sokolow (Sigourney Weaver), so he is intrigued when she shows up to cover a story at his workplace. There's been a murder in the office building, and Tony suspects that Daryll may have insight into the crime, a notion that he furthers to stay close to her. However, when those behind the killing begin to think that Daryll really knows something, they target both him and Tony to keep their secrets hidden.
