One of the best parts of my day is coming home, having a relaxing dinner with my wife Polly and then turning on KLRU to watch PBS NewsHour. I like to be informed about what’s going on in the world and in my neighborhood. KLRU brings it all to the comfort of my living room and I know it is programming I can trust.

My nightly tradition began early, as it was my father who introduced me to the power of PBS at a young age. It was the Watergate era, and we spent many hours watching this historical event unfold on television. Dad would remind me of the significance of what we were witnessing and we would discuss the latest news each evening. It was all available to us because of public media. I’ve never forgotten those moments and have been a fan of PBS ever since.

As an adult, I now have the opportunity to help others enjoy the same eye opening experiences that shaped my life. And so do you.
