Q Night at the Movies features Lawrence of Arabia 01/26

Q Night at the Movies presents David Lean's Oscar sweeping historical drama Lawrence of Arabia. The American Film Institute and the British Film Institute both name this movie within their top 10 films of all time, and even in 2019 the giant scope and drama of this production continues to wow audiences. Between our double broadcasts of Lawrence, be sure to catch 1913: Seeds of Conflict for deeper perspective on the regional exploits that drive T.E. Lawrence's mission along the Arabian Peninsula. Feature Film Lawrence of Arabia at 7 p.m. Repeats at 11:45 p.m. Due to his knowledge of the native Bedouin tribes, British Lieutenant T.E. Lawrence (Peter O'Toole) is sent to Arabia to find Prince Faisal (Alec Guinness) and serve as a liaison between the Arabs and the British in their fight against the Turks. With the aid of native Sherif Ali (Omar Sharif), Lawrence rebels against the orders of his superior officer and strikes out on a daring camel journey across the harsh desert to attack a well-guarded Turkish port.
